Our Staff
PCB Paws and Claws is an entirely volunteer based organization. Our wonderful volunteers have given
so much effort and time over the past year to save more homeless and abandoned pets than ever before. Those pets would
not be in good homes if it were not for you. Thank you for all your exceptional work!
Foster Homes
It takes many
caring volunteers to provide temporary homes for our pups and kittens while they are waiting for their new forever families.
These volunteers give more than just shelter. They provide time, love and care to these animals who may otherwise be
in harms way out on the streets.
Adoption Services
We offer adoption services for both adult
cats and kittens as well as puppies and adult dogs. Through our partners such as Pet Smart, we showcase our adoptable
animals and thoroughly screen each potential adopter to assure that each animal will go to a safe, loving home.

Our Programs
Trap/Neuter/Release (our feral cat program)
Trapping
feral cats and taking to them to a shelter – where the only positive outcome
for an animal is adoption – just doesn't make sense. Although feral cats are members of the domestic cat species, they are not socialized to humans and are rarely candidates for adoption.
Most animal shelters will immediately kill feral cats that come to them. This
‘catch and kill’ approach is not only cruel, but ineffective,
because remaining cats will move in and begin the cycle all over again. Our Trap-Neuter-Release is a program in which outdoor
cats are humanely trapped and taken to a local veterinarian or clinic
to be vaccinated and neutered. Adult feral cats who have undergone Trap-Neuter-Release may
be identified by the removal of the tip of their left ear (called an “eartip”). Socialized
cats and kittens are put up for adoption. The practice of Trap-Neuter-Release ends the cycle of breeding and
stops cat behaviors associated with mating, such as yowling and fighting. These
feral cats can be found all over the United States, whether urban or rural. Fortunately,
many communities are replacing the failed ‘catch and kill’ approach toward these
cats in favor of Trap-Neuter-Release, because it is the most effective and least expensive way to
stabilize the population.
